Recycle Your Jeans Process

Blue Jeans into Green Sandals

Old Jeans!

cut off the legs

We use nearly a whole pair of jeans to make a pair of sandals (except the bum part!)

steamed and pressed

To ensure we get rid of any nasty bugs we steam the jeans and flatten them ready to cut

knives placed to cut

Our knives cut out the patterns much like a pastry cutter would.

remove pattern ready to sew

The front and back of one leg is used to make a sandal to stop it flopping about and to give it shape.

sew on the labels

The labels and buckles are sewn on and the upper begins to take shape ready for the final stage of moulding.

placed onto moulding machine

The uppers are mounted onto the moulding machine to have their soles put on. This is a large carousel which takes approximatley 10 minutes to do a full cycle. Once this cycle has completed the sandals are taken off the machine, boxed and sent straight to you for you to enjoy!

End result

Happy Feet!
